Are the prices in CAD or USD?

Prices for hotel rooms, restaurant menus, local activities, etc. are listed in the Canadian dollar NOT the United States dollar. 1 Canadian Dollar ≈ 0.70 United States Dollar

What documents do I need to enter Canada?

All U.S. Citizens need a passport or passport card that is valid through their stay in Canada. Please check your expiration date on your passport before booking your stay. It can take up to 8 weeks to renew your passport. We also suggest downloading the ArriveCAN app before you fly into Canada to make your customs and immigration declaration up to 72 hours in advance. This process allows you to access Advance Declaration express lanes providing a quick and easy entry upon landing.

How do I get to Canmore?

Canmore is approximately a 1 hour drive (75 miles) from Calgary International Airport (YYC). Canmore is also a short 20-minute drive from Banff National Park. We suggest renting a car, then taking the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) to Canmore.

How do I get around Canmore?

1) WALK: Explore over 80 km (50 mi) of multi-use trails that connect the town and surrounding recreational areas. 2) RENT A BIKE/E-BIKE: Traverse Canmore’s multi-use trails, including the Canmore Riverside Trail to the Three Sisters Mountain Village or the Legacy Trail to the Town of Banff. Rent bikes or e-bikes from local shops like GearUp Mountain Sport and Rentals, Rebound Cycle, Trail Sports, Sports Garage, Pedego Electric Bikes, or Kananaskis Outfitters. 3) BUS: Roam Transit offers free bus service within Canmore (Routes 5C, 5T, and 12) and affordable regional transit to Banff National Park (Route 3). 4) TAXI: Local taxi services are available. 5) SHUTTLE: There are several shuttles and private transportation services that provide seamless connection between Canmore and regional attractions like Lake Louise and Moraine Lake in neighboring Banff National Park.

Do I need to purchase a park pass for Banff National Park?

Nope! From June 20 - September 2, admission is FREE for all visitors to all national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada.

Do I need to purchase a park pass in Kananaskis Country?

If you plan to visit Kananaskis, vehicles parked at provincial park and public land sites in Kananaskis Country and the Bow Valley need a Conservation Pass. Passes can be purchased in person or online: https://conservationpass.alberta.ca/kcp

What is the weather like in this area?

In late August, Canmore is typically warm during the day and cooler at night. The average temperature ranges from 72°F during the day to 44°F at night. We suggest layers!

Is parking available at the wedding?

The Malcolm offers complimentary underground, heated, self-parking for all guests. Overnight street parking is also available on a first come first serve basis.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors followed by an indoor reception.
